Marissa Shulman concentrates her practice in the areas of real estate, business, and estate planning. She has experience in the purchase, sale, leasing, and financing of commercial businesses and real estate, including quick-service franchise restaurants, hotels, liquor stores, and dental/medical practices. Ms. Shulman also has experience in liquor license approvals, corporate formations, and corporate governance.
With a dream of becoming an attorney from a young age, Ms. Shulman grew up in New York and New Jersey, taking opportunities before law school to work as a legal assistant in Brooklyn, New York and as a corporate paralegal in Monroe, New Jersey. Ms. Shulman received her bachelor's degree from Rutgers University in New Jersey, graduating summa cum laude with double majors in English and Political Science, and double minors in History and Social Justice. Ms. Shulman attended law school at the University of Miami School of Law, where she graduated with honors.
While at law school, Ms. Shulman served in various leadership and civic roles. Highlights include her roles as Vice President of OUTLaw, Treasurer of Miami Law Women, Treasurer of the Society of Bar & Gavel, and Investigator on the Honor Council. Ms. Shulman also completed an internship in the law school's Investor Rights Clinic and served as a fellow for the Professional Responsibility and Ethics Program. Upon receiving her law degree, Ms. Shulman completed an internship in the wealth management department at Morgan Stanley before working at a commercial real estate boutique firm in New Jersey. Ms. Shulman relocated to Palm Beach County, Florida in late 2021 and currently resides in Lake Worth Beach, Florida.
